The VPN will not connect
Check that your iPhone is online without the VPN, then try another location in the App. If it still fails, turn Airplane Mode on and off and try once more. Some networks — hotel, office or school Wi-Fi — block VPNs; switching to mobile data usually tells you whether the network is the cause.
iOS asks me to allow a VPN configuration
That is how every VPN app on iPhone works: iOS needs your permission to add the configuration that carries the tunnel. Nothing else is installed. If the configuration ever gets stuck, delete it under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → VPN, open the App again and allow it to add a fresh one.
Websites think I am in another country
That is expected: sites see the location of the server you are connected to. For the best speed, choose a server close to where you are.
An app or website does not work with the VPN on
Some services block VPN addresses. Try a different location, or disconnect while you use that service.
